MAG 2000:

The ShockWatch MAG 2000 Impact Indicators is a cost-effective, resettable and reusable device designed to monitor the handling of fragile goods and freight containers greater than 500 lbs. The device is also widely used on rail cars and trucking fleets to monitor for excessive impacts during humping or latching. The MAG 2000 utilizes two tuned and highly sensitive magnets. When an out of tolerance impact is experienced, the magnets are forced out of alignment clearly indicating the angle and severity of impact. A uniquely designed key is supplied to unlock the cover on the unit. This key allows the product to be reset after activation and resists tampering.

Low Fragility Zone:

Applicable in situations where both visible and hidden damage is possible, and a single extreme impact will cause damage to product. Pertains to products transported via a variety of modes.
Average Fragility Zone Applicable in situations where there is a moderate degree of stability and survivability built into the product, and where a standard mode of transportation is used.

High Fragility Zone

Applicable in situations where hidden damage is the key concern. Typically, these products will be constructed of low-tolerance components, such as data storage drives, optical lenses, or any other products that require precise alignment. Pertains to most products that require specialized modes of transportation, such as air-ride vans or extended travel in hydro-cushion railcars.

Flex

ShockWatch Flex Impact Indicators are tamperproof devices that turn bright red to indicate mishandling. The Flex is optimized for mounting an Impact Indicators to an irregularly-shaped surface.These indicators can be used to understand the conditions experienced by a product even when it is outside protective packaging. The Flex may be embedded into a product design or attached to the exterior of products. The Flex is ideal for monitoring tools that may become misaligned, equipment that may lose their calibration, or products that may be damaged with mishandling.

ShockWatch Clip

ShockWatch Impact Indicators clips are tamperproof, devices that turn bright red to indicate mishandling. These indicators can be mounted directly to products to understand the conditions experienced by the product even when it is outside protective packaging. Most ShockWatch Clips are designed to protect products up to 500 cubic feet in volume and weighing up to 10,000 pounds. Other indicators and recorders are available from ShockWatch for additional sensitivities and monitoring requirements.

There are two things you need to know to select ShockWatch Impact Indicators sensitivity: shipment size and weight. Selection guides should always be used as a starting point only. To select the proper activation levels, determine if shock specifications exist for the product to be monitored. Most complex electromechanical products such as hard drives, avionics, analysis instruments, etc. have been through extensive
testing to establish shock damage boundary data. When this information
is available, the selection process is quite simple. Select the clip type and
sensitivity. All product is rated at 50 milliseconds. Clips are available in standard (CX, CXX) and mini (MC, MCD) form factors. MC, CX = clip with one window (single). ShockWatch Tube

The ShockWatch tube Impact Indicators provides a competitive edge by allowing customers to embed impact-sensing technologies directly into their product. Embedding shock indicators into new products with power and cost considerations ShockWatch tubes are mechanical which means they do not require a power source. These devices can be integrated into system hardware without the worry of additional power consumption. Simply mount the indicator into your product and you are ready to go. ShockWatch tubes are selected according to the impact amplitude and duration which define the damage profile of a product. Heavier products are more likely to be damaged by lower g amplitudes with longer durations while lighter products are more susceptible to higher g amplitudes with shorter durations.
